John Gosden admits as he wants to provide a victory in the William Hill St Leger to him Logician faces a step into unknown territory.

“He remains well and seems like a horse that will get a Gold Cup trip – he looks like he’ll have two and a half kilometers,” O’Brien added.
“I presume he is going to be happy enough. He does not mind being ridden. You’d be riding him as you are sure that he will stay and another (Sir Dragonet) you will be taking your time with a bit, I would imagine.”
Rank outsider Western Australia is also saddled by o’Brien.
Sir Ron Priestley has five of his six starts this season – his blip coming in Royal Ascot. Mark Johnston’s fee is unbeaten in three subsequent looks and measures up to Group One degree for the first time.
Johnston, who has a second string to his bow Nayef Road, said:”He (Sir Ron Priestley) has a great deal to locate, and it would need to be a career-best, but he deserves to be there.
“He’s done almost everything right in the lower grades, with the exception of Royal Ascot. Today he has got to measure up to the significant one.
“I don’t underestimate the Leger, since I’ve run some high horses in it and they’ve been beaten. We understand he gets the excursion, therefore we haven’t any doubts about him .

Hannon explained:”Threat has arrived from Doncaster totally fine. He is in the Dewhurst and the Middle Park, so we’ll see.
“They (Threat and Mums Tipple) have different owners, so they might (run against each other).”
Cheveley Park’s managing director Chris Richardson is not committing to Group One prize but confessed Pinatubo’s shocking display on Sunday from the National Stakes has awarded Threat’s staff food for consideration.
Richardson explained:”He’s come out of this race nice. We have got to attempt to determine where we go next with him.
“I suppose the question is whether to go to the Middle Park or even wait for the Dewhurst. We will need to see what turns up.
“He came through the race another day and I believed he’d win by 2 lengths, but once he hit the front he simply did a lot. This was a small bit heart in the mouth at one point.
“Mr and Mrs Thompson (owners) will decide on where he belongs. We don’t want to be avoiding one horse as a lot can happen between now and then, however at this point I think we will most likely be avoiding that (Pinatubo), being watched him sluice up in Ireland.
“We will not make any rash choice and we will just enjoy the moment. We don’t wish to rush away from one horse since they can have bad days, but I suppose we will just have to see this space and see how things grow.”

I have Jacksonville as +3.8pts better than Houston to a neutral field, also +0.8pts greater than them on the road. I think this game can be won by that the Jags. This line opened -9.5 and has only proceeded into -8.5 and now back to -9 in which it sits in most places.
