Odds To Win Quaker State 400: Harvick in Pole Position on Oddsboard

The Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup circuit returns to Kentucky Speedway for the Quaker State 400 and the driver on top of This oddsboard to get the checkered flag is Kevin Harvick.

Harvick is listed at +275 followed closely by Martin Truex Jr. (+365), Kyle Busch (+365), Kyle Larson (+525), Clint Bowyer (+1600), Brad Keselowski (+1700), Erik Jones (+2200), Denny Hamlin (+2200), Joey Logano (+2200) and Ryan Blaney (+2200) to round out the top 10.
Is your Favorite for your Time Season
Kevin Harvick is used to become the gambling favorite in 2018 because he’s been tabbed as the odds-on favorite in 11 of 18 races this season. And he is certainly rewarded bettors in that position: he’s won five times per season and was favored in four of these races.
Harvick is among the few drivers who may embody the”first or last” mantra the most because he’s finished in the top five in 13 of the 18 races but in the other five, he either wrecked or finished outside the top 20. While Harvick could use this race as a springboard to get nearer to Kyle Busch from the Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup standings, the fact is that he has yet to take the checkered flag in his profession at Kentucky Speedway.
Keselowski May Have the Best Value for Bettors
Brad Keselowski has had some tough luck in 2018 after opening the season as one of the favorites to win the Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup. No. 2 has been snake-bitten this season as he has yet to top the podium at 18 races after winning three times a year. However, in +1700, he may be worth the bet as he won this race 2016 and contains four top-five finishes in his past six races.

NHL enters gambling world, but Canadian fans won’t see impact yet

The NHL announced it’s getting into the gambling business.
The league signed an agreement to provide casino giant MGM Resorts International with information for use in gambling where it is legal in the United States.
So what does the statement mean for hockey fans?
Not a great deal in the short term unless they are likely to earn a trip south of the border to place a bet.
The U.S. Supreme Court opened the way for expanded gambling last spring as it ruled states could now accept sports wagers.
Canada allows parlay, or multi-game, bets run through lotteries in each state, but doesn’t allow wagers on single events.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman told reporters in New York the league’s seven Canadian teams”have been working together with the lotteries who restrain gambling on a national foundation.”
“I believe that will last,” Bettman said Monday. “I understand there have been a lot of discussions about going to single-game betting as opposed to parlay, which is exactly what now exists.
“As the law evolves, you will realize our development in dealing with it.” MGM, which struck a deal with the NBA and WNBA in July, is the NHL’s first official sports gambling partner.
The league had been compared to wagering on its events, but Canadian Gaming Association president and CEO Paul Burns stated the shift to U.S. laws forced the NHL to update its own position.
He added the pact with MGM is also excellent news for Canadians expecting for the opportunity to a day plunk some money down on a legal, single-game bet on home soil.
“It marked a departure for the NHL, particularly in Canada,” Burns said in an interview with The Canadian Press. “As the country’s most popular sports league, it was significant when they weren’t in favour of amending the law.
“Now entering into these kinds of arrangements, we welcome it. We’re encouraged . Hopefully they can help get the legislation changed here in Canada.”
Las Vegas-based MGM is gaining access to proprietary NHL information that could eventually consist of puck and player tracking information once the machine goes through a testing phase.
Bettman repeatedly cited”fan engagement” in the U.S. among the big bonuses of the bargain for the league.
There were previous efforts to amend the Canadian Criminal Code to allow for single-game wagers, including private member’s bill that died in the Senate prior to the last national election.
Burns reported the CGA has business, labour, law enforcement — Canadians wager and estimated $14 billion per year illegally, based on business’s figures — and municipal authorities on board with getting single-game wagering approved.
The NHL has made it clear it’s also open to this idea.
“The final remaining stakeholder that’d concerns and objections were professional sports leagues,” Burns said. “They’ve now changed their rankings.
“We don’t see any impediments to acquire the Criminal Code amendment done here in Canada.”

Point/Counterpoint: Notre Dame vs Louisville – Free NCAAF Betting Picks

Share:

Notre Dame (9) vs Louisville
Monday, September 2 nd, 8:00 PM in Cardinal Stadium
Swinging Johnson: This week Doug Upstone and render our school football selections on the Monday night match between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Louisville Cardinals and I will deviate from our regularly scheduled plan of NFL debate to dip our feet into uncharted waters.
It will probably be the first and only time this season we do so, as the previous week of exhibition NFL soccer is somewhat lackluster in comparison to some regular-season sport of NCAA soccer featuring one of the top clubs in the nation, and a mythical football program to boot up, Notre Dame.
Without further ado, let us start the debate after my friend Doug Upstone got the best of me last week while I supported the Titans. We have been placing wins forth and back so it appears like it is my turn to the golden wreath, as I will follow each of the squares laying the lumber on a road favorite and endorse the Irish.
After reviewing the college football odds nearly six days prior to this Monday night affair, I see the lineup has spiked a half-point about the preferred, opening at Notre Dame -19 1/2 to where it is presently offered in a solid -20 round the board at all of the best online sportsbooks.
You are currently leaning on the Cardinals although I love the Irish. Aside from the venue do you believe Louisville will hang with the boys?
Doug Upstone: Yes a successful win and at least IMO, it said a lot about the Steelers and Titans direction. Lets move ahead to real soccer, so will our recordings on this one and where the matches rely.
Remember those Thursday night games Louisville used to perform against opponents? They held their engineered and own several upsets. These were fun games to see and also the Cardinals were an exciting club.
However, for example the former Papa Johns Stadium and its fake (in real life) owner, Louisville football last season was worse than a three-day-old pizza.
Scott Satterfield worked miracles at Appalachian State and will be out to alter the civilization and win matches. This wont happen immediately as the ability level is down in theVille. This is a major moment for Louisville, a team that has the chance to start taking actions.
I have read where the Cards coaches have sped up the slow mechanisms of QB Jawon Pass (great name for a QB) and that I like Hassan Hall since the direct running back. Than using a ticket for the Colts at OVER 9 for season 23, the protection which makes me more worried. Why you have your Irish up please do tell.
Swinging Johnson: The Cardinals wont be doing as the Notre Dame defense will keep them snug in their nest flying in this match. Scott Satterfield is in the big leagues and hes got a group coming off of a dismal record last year where they went winless in ACC action. This rebuild is akin to taking a hot air balloon and attempting to turn it.
While that may eventually happen, the problem is that Louisville is confronting a team that made it into the CFP last year and possessed one of the stingiest defenses in all of college football, devoting only 17.2 points within the normal season and moving a perfect 12-0 till they met Clemson in the CFP semifinals. The Irish offense was clicking on all cylinders also, averaging over 33 points per match.
My issue is, just how will be a quarterback like traveling who is slow to discharge, supposed to gain some traction against a shield? Particularly when hes working with a completely new offensive scheme and a new coach?
Please, Doug, save me I am lost! I find no way, shape or form where Louisville is going to have the ability to keep pace with the Golden Domers and Im desperate for the brand new wisdom and prodigious handicapping expertise!
Doug Upstone: Well, Swinger, Im pleased to read in your last sentence youre coming over to the bright side of sport betting, or you are simply being the exact shrewd a** you usually are. Ill allow the SBR readers that are making school football picks decide on this. Im the first to realize Louisville was, however 1-11 ATS and fully pumped final year.
Just like he gave up around the Atlanta Falcons but coach Bobby Petrino was given up on by that staff COMPLETELY. A trainer brings a fresh mindset on making a statement, and this being a national game, his team will be sold by Satterfield. Louisville does need to hope the Irish will take them and never have much fight.
Lets also consider, Brian Kelly using gold and the blue is ATS as a road favorite, also if dishing out 20 or more digits, a ATS. That defense you mentioned might improve as the year progresses but replacing five starters, if you dont/cant recruit like Bama or Clemson, it will take some time.
Swinging Johnson: Well Doug, I was being a bit facetious because although youve got an handicapping resume, you miss the mark from time to time. And in this situation, you happen to be shooting blanks because Louisville might be greater but I would submit that they could be trained with a Rhesus monkey and enhance upon their deplorable record left by an awkward coach like Petrino.
I know that placing nearly 3 touchdowns on the street is square biz for certain along with Joe Q. Public never got rich by betting the heavy street chalk, but at times the general public is right, and in this instance they definitely are. Until when we get down on our NFL Game of the Week next week, let us see what happens on Monday night once the Irish come prepared to rumble in Louisville.
Free College Football Pick: Swinging Johnson — Notre Dame -20 (-110)
Free College Football Pick: Doug Upstone — Louisville +20 (-110)
