Holm is a former bantamweight champion who given Ronda Rousey her initial loss while de Randamie is 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the UFC. Holm gets the larger name and expertise but it is de Randamie who’s preferred in this contest. Holm is 10-2 in her livelihood and 3-2 at the UFC. It was thought that Cristiane”Cyborg” Justino would fight for the first-ever belt but Cyborg is from action right now as a result of a failed drug test. Holm and de Randamie will be the first two in the branch but more could be on the way for example Megan Anderson who won the Invicta FC interim featherweight title against Charmaine Tweet.
Holm comes in to this fight having lost two straight struggles at bantamweight because she was conquered by Miesha Tate and Valentina Shevchenko. Holm believes those 2 losses do not mean she’s on the downside of her career.
“I understand I’ve two losses, but I did not get schooled in my previous two fights,” she said. “Against Miesha Tate, I was winning before I have choked out. And my struggle with Shevchenko, she’s going for the title, and it was a close struggle. Inside my heart, I know she won this struggle. She was the better fighter at night. I believe that anybody can be overcome, and I still have that in me. I have that confidence in me. I have confidence in my ability. I just must carry out.”

It’s hard to get enthusiastic about taking Holm but what has de Randamie done to reveal she’s worthy of winning a name? I will take a little shot with Holm and also play the rounds to cover the total.
Derek Brunson -127 vs. Anderson Silva
Silva is the marquee name but it’s questionable as to whether he’s left. He is 33-8 in his profession but he has not won a fight since 2012. He has four losses and a no competition in his last five fights. Brunson is 16-4 in his profession but he is coming off a loss to Robert Whittaker in November.
Silva is 41-years old and that he isn’t the fighter he once was but he’s faced far tougher competition than Brunson has in the past couple of years. If there is going to be a bounce back for Silva it must start with a win over Brunson.
UFC Picks
I don’t think Brunson is anything particular and while Silva is definitely over the hill I think he will find a way to win this one.
