Not a lot went our way with the DraftKings MLB DFS Picks of previous night even though the teams out of our stacks combining to score 12 runs at the night.
Mitch Keller, our pitcher, did get things started on the notice as he allowed five earned runs across five innings of work. A first inning put him that he couldn’t escape from Even though he continued to pile up the strikeouts with seven over these five innings.
Our four-man Braves stack did some harm, led to Ronald Acuna Jr. and Freddie Freeman who combined for six hits, albeit all coming in only for, which is not fantastic. Our pile scored two runs, additional two RBI, however, Acuna Jr. was also caught trying to steal. I wanted more here.
The pile was not successful as Corey Seager did the bulk of the heavy lifting, although our Dodgers pile led to a three-man pile with Justin Turner scratch. Cody Bellinger singled, scored a run and knocked in a hurry while David Freese singled twice and scored a run as well to stay hot. Nonetheless, we needed here.
It wasn’t a fantastic night so let’s turn our focus to another slate on Wednesday and see if we could get things turned around!
P — Pablo Lopez (MIA) — $7,100 vs. MIL
The Brewers and Marlins get tonight from Miami and the Brewers are penetrating this one to a low. Sure, they won last night’s game to pull closer into the rival Cubs in the NL Wild Card race, but their lineup took a huge blow off as Christian Yelich fractured his kneecap on a baseball ball and will miss the rest of the season. That is devastating news for what’s still a fantastic Brewers crime, but there’s very little doubt that the offense is not quite as good without Yelich and I’m liking Lopez even more tonight because of this. Aside from the Yelich scenario, there’s still a lot to like about the Marlins’ right-hander in this . To begin with, Lopez’s home/road divides prefer the home side dramatically and are rather wide. On the road, Lopez has been labeled for a sky-high 7.71 ERA and 6.27 FIP using a 7.71 K/9 clip also. But in the home, Lopez was absolutely lights into the tune of a 2.68 ERA and an even better 2.41 FIP to go together with an increased 8.55 K/9 clip. Though the Brewers have lots if electricity at their disposal, we need to remember that their 25 percent strikeout clip right-handers this year is the eighth-highest mark . Add it all up and I’m digging Lopez at this price tonight.
C/1B — Jose Abreu (CWS) — $3,700 vs. KC
There’s some appealing offenses with this slate, outside of Coors Field, along with the White Sox are the co-favorite tonight because they take on right-hander Glenn Sparkman and the rival Kansas City Royals. Sparkman hasn’t been good this year, or of late, and this year’s also been absolutely demolished. Overall, the 27-year-old right-hander possesses a 5.97 ERA, 6.06 FIP and 5.82 xFIP. Sparkman posted a 7.53 ERA in the month of July, a 7.58 mark in the month of August so much has a 9.00 ERA in September thanks to allowing four runs in four innings his last workout. Eventually, Sparkman was blasted into the tune of a 8.94 ERA, 7.55 FIP and 6.57 xFIP around the road this year where he has also permitted a massive 2.91 HR/9 on this season. As a result, I need some White Sox bats starting here with Abreu whose bat is much more productive versus lefties, however, matches in this stack thanks to his power from righties. Abreu enters this one wearing a .221 ISO about the season against right-wing throwing, a number that jumps into .259 at house versus righties while he also sports an .835 ISO, .335 wOBA and 111 wRC+ from opposite-handed pitching on the season. We’ve seen greater numbers in our stacks, but the man has hit 23 home runs and 23 doubles off of righties this year and I will look for that power to continue in to this one.
2B — Jose Altuve (HOU) — $4,300 vs. OAK
Even the Astros and A’s have exchanged blows in terms of pummeling others pitching this show along with the Astros could well endure such a fad in this 1 tonight against left-hander Brett Anderson. I had lots of cash to work with in this lineup tonight and when I had the next base position made to fill following rostering my stacks I just went to the highest-priced bat in Altuve. The rate portion of his power/speed combo is lacking a number in the moment as he’s swiped only five bases on the year while handling accidents, no matter how the power is very genuine with 26 home runs and a .247 ISO on this year. His figures against left-hander, nevertheless, are simply out of the world. On the season, Altuve has conquered left handed pitching to the tune of a .386 typical, .376 ISO, 1.205 OPS, .485 wOBA and a enormous 214 wRC+L. These are some of the greatest numbers we have seen against any split this year. Like most of his teammates, now Altuve is raking in the month of September so much using a .219 ISO, .963 OPS, .401 wOBA and 157 wRC+, great for his second-best month of the season. He has not enjoyed a ton of succeeding against Anderson before he’s only 3 to 13 against him with a double, but given his numbers against lefties this year that might well alter tonight.
3B — Yoan Moncada (CWS) — $3,200 vs. KC
Next man up in our four-man White Sox heap is Moncada who delivers some enormous power against right-handed casting, the most of this White Sox staff to be exact. Together with Moncada, we also get some stolen base upside as well, providing us an yummy power/speed combo which appears even better after we watch his career figures against Sparkman. Mondada enters this 1 tonight wearing a .254 ISO, .950 OPS, .392 wOBA and 149 wRC+ on the season against right-handed pitching, amount that crush his characters against lefties as he is a switch-hitter. The numbers get even better at home against righties where Moncada has assembled a .312 ISO, 1.007 OPS, .411 wOBA along with 162 wRC+. Moreover, Moncada is mashing so far in the month of September since he owns a .212 ISO,.1.136 OPS, .469 wOBA and 201 wRC+ to the month for this point. In layman’s terms, the former leading prospects has listed a multi-hit game in five of the last six and has three doubles, a homer, seven runs, three RBI and a stolen base within his past five matches. In his profession against Sparkman, he’s gone 4 for 9 (.444) with a home run. Because of this, there’s no reason to be evaporating the power-hitting infielder inside this matchup tonight.
SS — Tim Anderson (CWS) — $3,200 vs. KC
There is a shortstop for our next stack that fits correctly in this lineup tonight, but it’s real hard to leave Anderson out of almost any White Sox stack considering his work against right-wing pitching this season, his power/speed possible, his numbers against Sparkman and also the simple fact that he is projected to hit from the two-hole tonight, essentially leading our pile as a result. Anderson enters this 1 tonight sporting a .324 average, .188 ISO, .879 OPS, .368 wOBA plus also a 133 wRC+ over the season against right-handed pitching, all which are superior to the same numbers against lefties. Like Moncada, Anderson has been red-hot for the month of September thus far with a .306 ISO, 1.116 OPS, .458 wOBA and 194 wRC+. He’s notched a multi-hit attempt in seven of his past nine matches and has six doubles, two homers, 10 runs scored and five RBI in that span. Anderson has clubbed 16 home runs on the season and swiped 16 foundations as well. In a small career sample contrary to Sparkman, Anderson has gone 2 for 6, albeit without an extra-base hit. In the conclusion of the afternoon, Anderson has the big-game ability within this matchup and there’s very little reason to leave him considering his place in the above two-hole tonight.
OF — Eloy Jimenez (CWS) — $2,900 vs. KC
Completing our four-man White Sox pile is Jimenez who may not be hitting for a high average in his first year at the big leagues, but he’s brought plenty of electricity to the dish together with 25 home runs on the season to go together with a .224 ISO. The fantastic news for that matchup tongiht is that Jimenez sports some reverse-splits within his rookie season, meaning the right-handed flying outfielder sports exceptional numbers against right-handed pitchers. Against righties this year, the 22-year-old has posted a .238 ISO, .789 OPS, .326 wOBA along with a 105 wRC+, all which are exceptional to his figures versus lefties. They are not the greatest numbers in the planet, however they are above league average and many are being dragged down by a little 4.9% walk rate against righties, not uncommon for a beginner. More good news is around the road, however, as Jimenez joins Moncada and Anderson in using a big month of September to this stage and some quality amounts versus Sparkman too. Jimenez has posted a big-time .342 ISO, .905 OPS, .368 wOBA and 133 wRC+ to the month to this point. He hit a grand slam in the night’s series opener and has three homers and four doubles over his past seven matches. Finally, he has gone 2 for 4 with a home run in his brief history contrary to Sparkman. Sign me up all day in this cost.
OF — Tommy Pham (TB) — $3,700 vs. TEX
I’ll be finishing my lineup having a three-man Rays pile, starting here with Pham who is set to technically lead this stack off as he is set to hit in the two-hole with this one tonight. Pham has been an on-base machine that this season and he brings a yummy power/speed combination to the dining table also with 2o home runs and 20 beats the season. Pham’s bat is more effective against lefties, but he must fare just fine tonight against the right-handed starter, Ariel Jurado. Jurado owns a 5.74 ERA at home this year along with a 6.21 ERA in 91.1 innings as a starter, so there’s plenty to utilize already versus the righty. Pham has now posted a .198 ISO, .791 OPS, .334 wOBA plus a 111 wRC+ on the season against right-wing pitching. He only has submitted a .111 ISO in September, but he has been wildly productive with a enormous .985 OPS, .423 wOBA along with 172 wRC+, that would signify his best month of the year. Pham will require an eight-game hit series into action tonight with four star multi-hit efforts in that opportunity to cooperate with three doubles, a homer and four stolen bases. Even the cross-category upside is very real with all the effective outfielder in this one.
OF — Austin Meadows (TB) — $3,800 vs. TEX
Next man up from the Rays heap is Meadows who is Tampa Bay’s most productive hitter against right-wing pitching. The former Pirates best prospects has appreciated a enormous period with the Rays in what is his first full MLB effort. The outfielder has hit 29 home runs this season and he also brings some strong stolen foundation with 10 swipes on the season. He has done some significant damage against pitching as he’ll carry a .302 average, .974 OPS, .398 wOBA along with a 155 wRC against righties like Jurado. Meadows plays his home games in the pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, but in the road he’s absolutely hauled against right-wing pitching to the tune of a .342 ISO, 1.065 OPS, .433 wOBA along with 178 wRC+ — undoubtedly his best numbers against any breaks this season. Against righties with two of his 10 steals on the season coming in the cost of some right-hander, his base upside plays up Naturally. Meadows has become and I will search this day for this to continue at a dynamite road matchup.
UTIL — Ji-Man Choi (TB) — $2,900 vs. TEX
Completing our lineup and Rays heap is Choi who has made his own money mashing pitchers throughout his career. That has been the case this year as Choi has raked right-handed casting to the tune of a .181 ISO, .811 OPS, .344 wOBA plus also a 118 wRC+. The great news is that Choi’s road numbers follow match with this of his teammate Meadows because he’s smashed right-handers to get a .190 ISO, .839 OPS, .356 wOBA along with a 126 wRC+ over the season. Again, this is really nothing new for the Choi has he owns a profession .209 ISO, .813 OPS, .345 wOBA and 119 wRC+ versus righties. Choi hasn’t been as productive because his teammates Pham and Meadows at the month of September, but I am encouraged by the fact he does his best work on the road against righties which is where he will be tonight in the hitter-friendly boundaries of Globe Life Park at Arlington. I believe Choi could provide lots of value as the three-man Rays heap tonight’s anchor with Jurado allowing 16 earned runs over his last 16 innings in the home.
