Warrington fined after squad announcement infringement

Challenge Cup winners Warrington are penalized #2,000 for violating the rules squad statements before their semi-final triumph over Hull.
The Wolves played England full-back Stefan Ratchford in the game at Bolton in July despite not naming him in their initial 19-man squad and then that he also proceeded to kick three goals in a 22-14 victory.
Ratchford, who was not due to return from a torn muscle to another three months, has been drafted in at short notice after winger Josh Charnley pulled out with a knee injury.
According to the operational principles of the Rugby Football League, clubs can make changes to the squads they announce two days beforehand in the event of trauma or other outstanding circumstances
Applications need to be created after they are aware there is a change necessary and has to be supported by a formal notification to the RFL.
The RFL says Warrington, who proceeded to conquer at St Helens at the final at Wembley in Augustand accept they failed to formally notify them in the timeframes and guidelines put out of these amendments.
The choice to introduce squad announcements was made following the 2004 gambling scandal in which St Helens players Sean Long and Martin Gleeson endorsed their team to lose that a team would be fielded by their trainer.
Warrington haven’t made any comment.
