Very similar to his last struggle, Fury is the odds on favorite (best price 1/25) and ought to be much too much for his competent but overmatched competition. As a punter it is easy to get disheartened with Fury opponents, not least because they create punting somewhat more difficult when the markets are unapproachable. ???? However, there is some worth to be consumed in this struggle to flip our pennies into pounds.
Last time outwe saw a much more spiteful and aggressive Fury. He demonstrated footwork and his elusiveness but showed a style which hasn’t always been the way of Fury. Some of that will down into Tom Schwarz’s limits allow Fury to tee off. He is more capable than the last competition of Fury, although otto Wallin is certainly overmatched. The Swede is a southpaw and technically sound, although unspectacular. He received a number of bouts under his belt prior to turning pro. It should present more of a contest although his competitor should be dealt with by fury.
Despite the aggressive display against Schwarz, Fury has not become a large punching heavyweight overnight and he takes a time to break his resistance down. ?? Of his last 12 stoppage victories, 8 have come after the fourth round. This battle looks like it will follow that trend and mind to even the rounds and possibly the middle. Tyson Fury at the next half of this fight (rounds 7-12) is a fantastic price (15/8 using Sky Bet); as is Fury to win in rounds 5-8 (21/10 with Paddy Power) or rounds 7-9 (7/2 with Betfred). Even the 15/8 to a 6 round spread feels a better deal especially considering Wallin will offer more offensively and defensively.
There’s a little punt to be hand on an underdog that is undercard. Ryan Garcia is a highly rated fighter who has developed a huge following. But much boyband appears rather than his boxing and of the following is driven by his own Instagram. There has been evidence of some footage of him struggling in sparring and flaws in his style already. He’s taken a step this weekend up in fighting Avery Sparrow, who got 11 fights but has defeated the tough and skilled Henry Lundy. There has been 14/1 floating around on Sparrow; unfortunately that cost has long gonebut 10/1 is still available (Sporting Bet) and is worth a nibble about the angry.
