FanDuel MLB DFS Picks – October 17th

I published some FanDuel MLB DFS Picks yesterday before Game 4 of the ALCS becoming postponed, but together with the game set to take place tonight, Ive tweaked my picks a tiny bit as we now understand who the starting pitchers would be as the Astros Zack Greinke chooses on the Yankees Masahiro Tanaka.
Lets dive in and see what we can do on this single-game slate!
MVP — Gary Sanchez (NYY) — $5,500 vs. HOU
As milk of the value that we can get out his powerful bat and I want to get Sanchez there is no change here. As a I noted Sanchez hasnt been a postseason performer for this stage in his young MLB career and is suffering a postseason his ability is undeniable. Sanchez clubbed 34 home runs in only 106 matches and 446 plate appearances this season and his ISO dropped just short of .300 at .293 — a number to be certain. The great news for this one is that we understand his splits in the 2019 regular season favor such a matchup along with Sanchez is going to deal with a pitcher tonight. The Sanchez submitted a .302 ISO, .867 OPS, .357 wOBA along with 123 wRC+ on the season against right-wing pitching — all of which were outstanding to his amounts versus lefties. Sanchez has not hit a house run since back on September 3rd (he wasnt playing regular down the stretch), but he homered twice that day and homered twice only 3 games prior to this on August 31st. The point here is that Sanchez has run upside around the slate as another hitter and at just $5,500 Ill take his power and double it tonight.
All-Star — Aaron Judge (NYY) — $8,500 vs. HOU
Even though Sanchez has scuffled a few within this postseason, this is not the case with Judge who has enjoyed lots of success in the postseason in the past and has had a postseason. Entering this 1 tonight, Judge is hitting .318 with an .889 OPS from the 2019 postseason. Judge is hitting .270 with a .971 OPS. Hell enter this you riding a three-game hit series with a home run to go alongside a walk and a run scored. Obviously, theres a lot of raw energy in this series such as Sanchez above, however Judge might only reign supreme in this department. He owns a profession .285 ISO, a few he fell short of with a .267 ISO this year with 27 home runs within an 102 regular season matches. Contrary to Sanchez, Judges splits are conventional as he absolutely pummeled left-handed pitching this year — especially in the home — but also hit against right-handers for a .251 ISO, .847 OPS, .354 wOBA and a wRC+ over the summer. Given how the bat has performed along with the power tap, I enjoy the concept of netting 1.5x ray Judges dream points in this one tonight.
UTIL — Gleyber Torres (NYY) — $7,500 vs. HOU
Next guy up in this heap is Torres whos actually having the best postseason of any Yankee and is hitting home run like its his day job in this series. Entering this one tonight, Torres owns a .417 average and 1.440 OPS thanks to hitting home runs, all of which have come over his last four games such as Tuesdays Game 3. While hes coming off a 1 to 2 with a home run and performance from Tuesday torres also has added four doubles. Torres amounts were so slightly improved against left handed pitching this season, no matter how the energy numbers were nearly identical because he submitted a .256 ISO against righties and a .257 ISO. He hit righties for a .258 ISO, .845 OPS, .343 wOBA along with 115 wRC this season. While I went to own him in this lineup regardless due to his own recency, the simple fact hes enjoyed plenty of success confirms his place. As gone 4 with a homer and two doubles in his career against the veteran 22, the middle infielder. Add it up and that I want Torres in this lineup for tonights Game 4.
UTIL — Giancarlo Stanton (NYY) — $6,000 vs. HOU
I dont care, although theres no assurance that Stanton gets to the lineup tonight. We know he is accessible to pinch-hit off the bench in this one and also you bet Aaron Boone is going to provide a chance to put one this evening to the slugger, if the Yankees are down into this match. Hes a lock $ 6,000 for me and that I would even consider swapping him Judge in the spot to catch additional value from the price if he can start. Its hard to base anything off of regular season numbers for Stanton as he played in just 18 regular season games, but we could take a look out of that time in his 139 wRC + and notice that he was clearly a successful bat despite his trauma. IU imply, its Giancarlo Stanton. Yes, hes had difficulty but he owns a .279 career ISO and boasts some of the finest power baseball has to offer you. Hes hit only .238 in his profession against Greinkehe will have two home so the power remains with a .286 ISO and .857 OPS off of the right-hander. This cost is simply too appealing and I would guess that Stanton does get into the starting lineup following the rainout of yesterday afford him an additional days rest.
UTIL — Michael Brantley (HOU) — $7,000 vs. NYY
Michael Brantley has to find his power stroke and that he scuffled for much of the show from the Rays, but his bat is coming around at the right time for the Astros. Is currently coming from a successful Game 3 where he went 2 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. That put him up to a .250 average and .638 OPS for the playoffs, not terrible considering he was hitting .125 using a .250 OPS entering Game 5 against the Rays. I want to have gotten more left-handed bats in this lineup thinking of the short porch in right field at Yankee Stadium the four Yankees bats above simply made too much sense to me contemplating cost, energy and recency factors. Towards right-wing pitching this season, Brantley submitted a .323 average, .226 ISO, .928 OPS, .385 wOBA along with also a 146 wRC+. As Minute Maid Park in Houston is a difficult place on power hitters, the numbers increased on the street against righties. Hes going to provide you with a and he is extremely tough to strike out, so at least we know the ball will be placed tonight. Hes gone 5 to 19 (.263) from Tanaka in his profession, but also with a homer and two doubles, great for a .263 ISO and .826 OPS. If all goes to plan, hell put even more, or you, in the short porch in right field tonight.
