Wales manager Ryan Giggs says after the winger ensured victory with another aim over Belarus Daniel James is unstoppable occasionally.
James curled a great 17th-minute winner to hands a 1-0 victory in their own friendly to Wales night.
The Manchester United winger has now scored four goals in his last six matches for both club and country, also Giggs has backed the 21-year-old to continue his good form as the year advances.
“He is one of those players you know what he is going to perform but you can’t quit it,” Giggs said.
“There are many aims [he’s scored] such as that. He could go either way.
“Early on when I saw DJ, just like every young winger, there can be that improvement in the last ball and scoring more goals. But that’s being done by him.
“To do everything he’s done at the onset of the year is remarkable. The following step is he wants to carry on and that consistency, that he has shown so far.
“But I have no doubts that’ll happen because he wants to be the ideal.”
Wales have been handed a boost in their bid later points both fell on Monday to qualify for Euro 2020.
While Hungary lost 2-1 at home to Slovakia world Cup semi-finalists Croatia were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom-placed Azerbaijan.
Wales are currently also three adrift of Slovakia and Hungary and four points behind Croatia, with a match in hand in Group E. on their rivals
“I don’t think they are the worst outcomes on the planet,” said Giggs.
“It turned out to be a difficult one with Hungary and Slovakia. We definitely did not need a win.
“But we’ve got to focus on ourselves. It’s still in our hands”
