McKay surrendered seven runs (but only three earned) in just two innings of work as he allowed three hits — including 2 home runs — three walks with just one strikeout. That is the pitching operation we have seen in these types of lineups.
Our D-backs stack that is four-man did some damage as Ketel Marte continued his breakout year along with his 26th home run. He also included a walk. David Peralta climbed as part of a two-hit night with two RBI and Eduardo Escobar felt a run and run. Add a zero from Christian Walker and the general results with this particular high-upside, four-man stack were disappointing to be sure.
Our three-man Reds pile was brutal as a stroll from the Eugenio Suarez and Phillip Ervin was that the contributions wed get from this group.
We received a few value from shortstop Wilfredo Tovar who knocked on a set of singles as a minimal price that was $ 2,000 to us.
Lets put this one behind us now and move forward into tonights plump 15-game major slate!
P — Sonny Gray (CIN) — $10,400 vs. SD
There is lots of arms with this masterpiece that draw your focus including Clayton Kershaw, Stephen Strasburg, Shane Bieber and Aaron Nola, however I like Gray as his price isnt in the level which Kershaw is at over $12K, however the upside could be just as powerful as he takes over the San Diego Padres tonight in your home. The confines of Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati are of those hitter-friendly environment, but that has not ceased Gray from twirling a 3.15 ERA, 3.23 FIP, 3.48 xFIP along with a big-time 10.62 K/9 at home. The latter of these numbers are exceptional to his figures on the road, as is his 3.86 K/BB in the home as hes run into a command problems on the road with a 4.08 BB/9, but owns a nice 2.75 markers at home. Gray has been particularly dominant of late, entering this one tonight riding a three-start scoreless series since he hasnt allowed a run over his last 18 innings with 24 strikeouts in that interval. His last two outings have come to home and he is hurled 11 innings of shutout ball to boot up in that time together with 17 strikeouts. The strikeout upside receives a top notch in the right direction tonight as the Padres possess the leagues second-highest strikeout rate versus right-handed piching with a K-rate of 26.4% from them. Given the strikeout upside in this matchup along with his latest work, Gray appears to be a great play on this huge slate.
C/1B — Anthony Rizzo (CHC) — $4,200 vs. SF
I really havent piled against the Giants much this year since they have a top 10 bullpen to back their starters, but I believe the Cubs have some real nice upside tonight, as do the oddsmakers at theyve a large 5.9 run projection at this point in time. The Cubs will take on right-hander Tyler Beede who has scuffled to the tune of a 5.77 ERA and 5.42 FIP on the time to go together with a 1.85 HR/9 speed. Hes been touched to get a 6.23 ERA on the path to go along with a 5.82 FIP and 1.89 HR/9 clip. Finally, Beede has submitted a 9.95 ERA across three August starts to this stage using a 2.64 HR/9 against, so theres a lot of reason to think that this Cubs team could put some runs on the board in a big way . Enter Rizzo who is once again doing some big-time damage against right-handed pitching using a .240 ISO, .960 OPS, .401 wOBA and also a 148 wRC+ against them for the season. He has seen his ISO dip to .179 at house versus righties, but his .962 OPS, .407 wOBA and 152 wRC+ are superior at house versus his marks on the street versus righties. Rizzo homered in his last game at Williamsport his second long ball over his past four matches, against the Pirates. Let us look for him to keep to swing a more stick in this one tonight.
2B — Cesar Hernandez (PHI) — $2,500 vs. BOS
After picking Gray as my pitcher and a four-man Cubs stack to lead the bats within this lineup, then I had to be selective with all the rest of my picks from a salary perspective because there was not a ton to invest on every player at that point. Ive discovered a cheap, low-owned mini-stack which will pay some benefits in a matchup tonight, beginning here with Hernandez. Hernandezs Phillies take on the Red Sox along with left-hander Brian Johnson in this 1 tonight, he of some ghastly 6.45 ERA, 5.95 FIP and 5.99 xFIP about the season to cooperate with a big 2.01 HR/9 against as well. He has been hit hard by right-wing nerves in his brief time in the bigs this season, along with the switch-hitting Hernandez will swing from the perfect side against him. The electricity is enhanced by the side of this plate, although he is smacked eight of the 23 doubles right into a lefty and hes struck eight complete home runs and killed seven overall foundations to give us a power/speed upside . Usually I just use him versus righties, however given how bad Johnson has been versus right-handed nerves as well as the fact hes likely to be a part of a mini-stack at low ownership, I will roll the dice onto the Phillies second baseman tonight.
3B — Sean Rodriguez (PHI) — $2,200 vs. BOS
As Rodriguez looks to provide us some worth tonight against the fighting Johnson, the Phillies mini-stack will be completed by us here. Rodriguez has made his big league cash hitting against pitching for power that was notable. With this time, hes hitting .267 using a .222 ISO, .842 OPS, .356 wOBA along with 119 wRC+ from left handed pitching. When we compare that to his .154 ordinary, .059 ISO, .437 OPS, .201 wOBA along with 18 wRC+ vs righties, we could see why Rodriguez begins almost entirely against left-wing pitching as he has done throughout his lengthy big league tenure. Rodriguez has smacked every one of his homers from lefties in 45 at-bats with no homers around 34 at-bats versus righties. The 34-year-old also posted a huge .356 ISO in Triple-A this season in limited action with an 1.000 OPS versus left wing pitching. He seldom has an whole match as he is mostly replaced when a right-handed reliever is summoned to confront him, but the second-last time hed get four at-bats at a game, Rodriguez knocked three hits including a house run. Hes fought in largely duty because, but I am still digging out the upside were getting for a lefty-masher in a price versus a struggling left-hander tonight.
SS — Javier Baez (CHC) — $4,100 vs. SF
Next guy up in our Cubs heap is but he is very much wanted by me within this stack versus a right-hander as well as he is mashed them also. He does possess a large .333 ISO along with .998 OPS versus left wing pitching, however, Baez sports a .240 ISO, .824 OPS, .337 wOBA and 106 wRC+ versus right-handed pitching. He has hit 20 of his 28 homers versus righties as well as 30 of his 34 doubles, however for some reason the Cubs have confronted so few left-handers this season that the eight homers and four rebounds hes submitted versus lefties have his numbers soaring from them. The stolen base upside down is there also with 10 steals on the season, but interestingly only three of these have come at the cost of a right-handed pitcher. Having said that, Baez has fared much better at home versus right-handed throwing to the famous jet flow that blows out in Wrigley Field in Chicago — to left area — the pull area of Baez. Baez owns a .302 ISO, .961 OPS, .392 wOBA and 142 wRC+ vs right-handed pitching at home this season. After slumping for a few matches, Baez went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored on the match at Williamsport on Sunday night, so let us search for him to build on this multi-hit attempt in this 1 tonight.
OF — Kyle Schwarber (CHC) — $3,300 vs. SF
Reaching our four-man Cubs pile is Schwarber who loves himself some pitching. The 28 long balls on the season of schwarber are simply two shy of tying his career-high of 30 set in the 2017 season, and 24 of those 28 extended balls come from a right-handed pitcher like hell face tonight in the Giants Tyler Beede. Schwarber does not hit for much common whatsoever which drags down his OPS and wOBA despite a few powerful walk numbers, however the raw power is what we are here for as he owns a .276 ISO versus righties to go together with an .835 OPS, .342 wOBA and 109 wRC+ versus opposite-handed pitching. Despite Wrigley Field not function as most hitter-friendly venue for left-wing hitters such as Schwarber, he still loves mashing righties at home as he matches a .296 ISO, .918 OPS, .373 wOBA and 129 wRC+ versus righties in the home compared to a .257 ISO, .760 OPS, .315 wOBA and 91 wRC+ to the street versus righties. As we have seen previously with him schwarber has removed at the second half of the season. Since returning in the fracture, Schwarber has posted a .344 ISO, .900 OPS, .368 wOBA along with 126 wRC+. At a fantastic example of a very low average but tons of power, three of Schwarber five hits have abandoned the yard. Look for more of the same contrary to a pitcher allowing the share of home runs.
OF — Ian Happ (CHC) — $3,100 vs. SF
Person upward in our Cubs stack is Happ who surely has lots of pop in that bat. Happ has spent most of the season in the Triple-A degree for a casualty of a numbers game in the Cubs outfield, but despite not exactly tearing it up in Triple-A using a .189 ISO and 96 wRC+, Happ has posted big-time numbers in his big league tenure this season around hi 62 plate appearances. He owns a .291 ISO and 133 wRC+ in the major league level this year with four balls into his name. The switch-hitting utility man owns a .278 ISO, .937 OPS, .390 wOBA along with 140 wRC+ at his brief big league time this season versus pitching. He burst on the scene in 2017 with 24 home runs following a mid-season advertising, and switch-hitter possesses excellent career amounts versus righties with a .242 ISO, .845 OPS, .355 wOBA plus also a 120 wRC+ versus righties in comparison with a .171 ISO, .713 OPS, .303 wOBA and 86 wRC+ versus lefties. He is yet to swipe a base in the big leagues this season, but did have nine stelas at 99 Triple-A games this season and has 16 stolen bases in 279 major league games for his livelihood, therefore we have a touch of stolen base upside down here as well. Ill take the cross-category upside here in order to anchor our tonight.
OF — Lane Thomas (STL) — $2,300 vs. MIL
I will complete this lineup using a set of outfielders, beginning here with Thomas who takes on the Milwaukee Brewers tonight and left-hander Gio Gonzalez. Gonzalez isnt a pitcher and Thomas has numbers against lefties both in the big leagues and league level this season although that I aim frequently, but virtually all the damage against him stems from and has been fine this season. Entering this one tonight, Thomas is a triple vs left wing pitching at a little league sample that is big this season and for 8 with a homer. In addition, he tried a slip versus a lefty, albeit an unsuccessful attempt, but does possess a steal from a righty. The 23-year-old failed post an .826 OPS versus lefties from the minors this year where he also found success on the basepaths with 11 wants to grow his 10 home runs. Two of his 11 steals in the minors were off of pitching. Thomas has steals in the minors in each of his two previous years and does have a history of this precious power/speed mix within his minor league career as he stole 17 bases around two levels last season and homered 27 occasions. I think we will get him and I am eager to see if he can provide some big-time value against a southpaw pitcher.
UTIL — Joc Pederson (LAD) — $2,900 vs. TOR
Completing our lineup tonight is Pederson who carries a bunch of value. The Dodgers are set to take on right-hander Sean Reid-Foley, a beginner for the Blue Jays who possesses a 3.00 ERA in six starts and eight looks at the big league level, but in addition a 4.88 FIP and massive 6.18 xFIP to go together with a enormous 5.70 BB/9 speed too. Moreover, Reid-Foley was brutalized at the Triple-A level with a 6.26 ERA, 5.53 FIP and also 5.31 xFIP to go along with a large 6.80 BB/9 speed as well. Hes due for some regression in the big leagues after being roughed up this year. As is the case against a starter, Pederson is estimated to hit at the leadoff spot tonight. He loves himself some right-handed pitching because he possesses a massive .272 ISO, .851 OPS, .354 wOBA and 121 wRC+ vs righties on the season while all of his 24 extended balls come from a righty. He is much like Schwarber in the sense that he does not hit for a significant average but instead big-time power. He is also enjoy Schwarber from the feeling that he mashes righties in the home with Pederson possessing an eye-popping .381 ISO, 1.026 OPS, .416 wOBA along with 161 wRC+ at home versus righties this season. I think I will take that form of production out of this leadoff spot tonight.

Read more here: http://latakedown.com/big-marleys-ufc-on-espn-2-draftkings-fantasy-breakdown/

Last night was a perfect example of a night to overlook my FanDuel MLB DFS Picks.
